On Friday, 6 December, ONE Championship’s final show of 2019 – ONE: MARK OF GREATNESS – hosts the return of three of Malaysia’s finest martial artists.

Malaysian women’s martial arts sensation Jihin “Shadow Cat” Radzuan makes her return to the global stage after a five-month break. The Ultimate MMA Academy representative faces Filipina warrior Denice “The Menace” Zamboanga in a three-round atomweight contest.

In her last appearance, Jihin impressed the watching world with a slick submission win over Philippines’ Jomary Torres in front of her hometown fans.

After a short spell of dominance from Torres, “Shadow Cat” sniffed for a submission. She cranked out an armbar before switching to a triangle choke, ending the contest at 3:07 of the opening round.

She may have her sights on a sixth victory but will face stiff competition from Zamboanga inside the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

Next on the list is Monarchy MMA’s Agilan “Alligator” Thani. The former ONE Welterweight World Title challenger makes a swift return to the Circle against Lebanon’s Mohammad Karaki.

The Sentul native aims to end his year on a high, after a split decision loss to Japanese martial arts icon Yushin “Thunder” Okami at ONE: CENTURY PART I in October.

However, the “Alligator” is not short of inspiration, having recorded a superb win over Yoshihiro “Sexy Yama” Akiyama in June this year.

His last appearance in the Malaysian capital in December 2018 may have ended in defeat, but Thani is looking to return home with a huge victory this time around.

Thani’s opponent, Karaki, makes his welterweight debut. In his only appearance in The Home Of Martial Arts, the grappling specialist suffered a knockout loss to Aung La “The Burmese Python” N Sang.

“Jungle Cat” Muhammad Aiman completes the list of Malaysians competing in the stacked event. The Bali MMA athlete takes on China’s Chen “The Ghost” Rui in a bantamweight battle.

Aiman stunned “The Terminator” Sunoto in his last appearance, recording a unanimous decision win in a one-sided battle. Fueled by his hometown supporters, the Negeri Sembilan native should carry on his winning form at the expense of Chen.

These matches should warm up the crowd before a spectacular main and co-main event, two inaugural ONE World Title showdowns.

Sam-A Gaiyanghadao meets Wang Junguang for the ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Title, while Russia’s Alaverdi “Babyface Killer” Ramazanov battles China’s “Muay Thai Boy” Zhang Chenglong for the ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Title.
